Recreating Favorite Looks
The Scoop
I am not in the mood to dress up and take photos right now. I have these down times but this one is lasting a little longer than normal. I wonder if this blog is something I want to continue. But I am not throwing away over eleven years of creative work so I am taking it slow and mulling things over.
Meanwhile I was looking at some old photos because there was a pair of sneakers, I used to have that I wanted to get again and I wasn’t sure of the style. I knew the brand but not the exact style. I went to an old blog post and found them. While I was looking at them, I saw this look and remembered how much I loved it.
I still have the jeans, hat and bag. Although I am going to donate the jeans because they are just too low waisted for my taste right now. I was able to buy the same shoes new because my others wore out. I even have the same VW Beetle hat. My watch got broken and I want to find a new one like it too. I found an inexpensive one for now while I look for a nice one like I had.
My Look
In my old look (circa 2016) I’m wearing Adidas Super Star sneakers, Levi’s 524 Skinny jeans, a button up shirt and a black cap. My bag is Rebecca Minkoff.
I ordered the shoes recently; I still have my cap and bag. The jeans I still have but really don’t like that style any more so am looking for a pair of more relaxed straight or skinny jeans. I gave away the shirt a long time ago but am on the look for a look alike!
I checked in my closet to see what I could use to recreate this look and came up with something very similar and fun!
In the new look I am wearing another pair of Levi’s which I have shown recently in posts. They are men’s jeans. A similar silhouette to the old look but more modern. My flannel shirt is fun and warm for our chilly day here in Arizona. My red bag in the old look (Rebecca Minkoff) is at the other house in Idaho but I love this one I got from Amazon as an alternate. Wearing same hat and the new shoes which are the same. I also added a sweet little black belt that I have been wearing a lot.
